I bought this on special at Countdown for $10 as my usual brand was out of stock. I'm a big fan of Batiste and wasn't expecting this to be as good but I was pleasantly surprised. The first thing I noticed was that it didn't leave my hair looking white and chalky like some other dry shampoos did. It has a pleasant, fresh smell and left my hair feeling clean, fresh and volumised. I used only a small amount, lifting up my top layers and spraying it directly onto my roots to give my hair a lift, this worked an absolute treat. At $10 I was very happy with the quality. The bottle size is generous too so it should last me a while.

Toni and Guy Casual Matt Texture Dry Shampoo Review

Reviews
I received this last year in a BBBE box. This is the second dry shampoo I have used so was hoping for better results then the first one I had used. Packaging is a matte light bluish colour and is sleek. It looks very professional. Salon style like.
Smells like a salon, not the nice smelling part of the salon but the chemical smell. Not fresh or pleasant smelling like I usually expect from my hair care products.
I have been using this several times a month for the most part of the year so far and I still don't like it. I have oily roots and the rest of my hair is thick, long and wavy. I feel like dry shampoo should improve the state of your hair not make it worse.
It does an okay job for the roots but the rest of my hair looks dry and stiff. It generally seems worse after using this product then the original state of my hair before using it.
I wanted to like this product but I just don't. I won't be repurchasing.
I received this in the "You won't believe it's hair" box 2, which has since sold out. I have used a couple of other brands of dry shampoo before, and I am always interested in trying more as it is such a useful product.
My hair is blonde, and quite dry. I wash it 1 - 2 times per week. I do not suffer from oily roots too badly, but my hair does get quite limp in between washes. My main problem would be a lack of volume. I like to use dry shampoo to boost my hair, and make it feel clean in between washes.
This dry shampoo comes in a large 250ml can. It has the traditional Toni & Guy gray/blue and white packaging. The product is described as a matt texture dry shampoo, and the directions say to spray it onto hair from root to tip, before combing through with your fingers.
I have been using this can since I bought the beauty box, and it is still going! I use it once or twice a week. I only spray it on my roots though. I do not think it is necessary to spray from root to tip. It is easy to spray onto your hair. The nozzle is easy to use, similar to a hairspray can, and it does not jam. The spray comes out white, but it blends easily with your hair and does not leave any strange white streaks or blobs. It is easy to work into your hair with your fingers, and you can notice a change in volume and texture right away. It is also mildly, and pleasantly, scented with a faintly floral smell that makes your hair smell refreshed.
This dry shampoo is one of the best dry shampoos I have used, and it is great value with such a large can. I will repurchase this when my current can is finished.
I was super excited to try this out after receiving it in a beauty box. The only other dry shampoo I have tried is Batiste which I love so I was keen to see if this was just as good. Yes! Yes it is!
First the can is huge. A fantastic 250ml which has lasted me ages. I wash my hair 1-2 times a week and use dry shampoo in between so I use this 2 days after washing my hair. It is simple to use, I just spray a few short, sharps bursts into my roots. I then wait about a minute then comb it through my hair.
It leaves my hair looking wonderful and refreshed. It goes from limp to lots of volume! It has a beautiful smell which I find lingers in my hair. It is a great dry shampoo and I am rather impressed. It doesn't leave any white residue and I have black hair.
I would definately buy more of this when I have run out and I think it is a great product to have on hand.
I recently discovered this dry shampoo and honestly, I'm blown away. Hands down, best dry shampoo I've used. Just a preface: my hair type is oily roots, then progressively getting dryer as we go towards the very tips.
The first thing that struck me was the size of the can. It's a good deal bigger than the bastiste and loreal ones that I've used. Although I don't think there's actually much more product. It sprays out very powerfully, which I feel almost helps create that airy look in my hair.
I only need a couple of sprays all over my roots for my hair to go from a flat, day 2 (or maybe 3) flop to a just washed, almost fluffy look. I've currently got short hair so it's extra noticeable when my hair starts looking oily, and this is the perfect saviour. I brush this out straight after spraying, specifically brushing upwards and letting my hair fall naturally, which furthers the refreshing effect.
Another thing I absolutely love is the scent this has. It's almost a perfume like scent, and really lingers on my hair.
The only tiny thing that I'd complain about would be that after a while the nozzle can get a little congested with white powdery stuff. But that's cleaned easily with a wetwipe.
Tips: Great for dark hair but don't over spray it just in case!
I recieved this product in the Hair box....wowzers, its my absolute favourite product! The smell is amazing and I even use it on my freshly washed (dry) hair, it leaves such a beautiful scent! I have oily roots but this product takes care of that and also gives my hair volume! It far exceeded my expectations and I will never purchase the other familiar brands again...I am sold!
Tips: Highly recommend! I use it after drying my hair at night as it gives me volume when I wake up!
This is probably the 3rd or 4th different dry shampoo I have tried as they just don't seem to be my thing but I like the idea!
This was the best by far. I have fine and oily hair and this seemed to help in "inbetween" and I liked it before styling my hair to go out if I wasn't washing it. I find it has also lasted a really long time so far.
Tips: Don't go overboard - less is more :-)
