How great is little old New Zealand? We're an innovative wee dot on the map, not afraid of taking chances, of putting ourselves out there, of ignoring those who might try and chop our poppies down as they grow... especially in the beauty sphere. So many of our brands are wowwing the world... as well as us!

So what are ten top Kiwi brands creating top rated products that you, our Beauty Review community, love? Check these beauties out...

Essano Candle - rated 4.9/5

You say: Amazing! I bought this from my local supermarket, and I am in love with the scent. My house smells like a day spa, and the candle is also beautiful and feels expensive. Would definitely recommend. BR Member: JamieB

ecostore Beeswax Lip Balm - rated 4.8/5

You say: I exclusively buy natural lip balms as I find they work best and this one didn't disappoint. It is NZ made and has a few simple ingredients and fuss free packaging. I apply it morning and night and that's all the applications needed, which makes it a winner in my book. BR Member: khaix

New Zealand Cancer Society After Sun Gel - rated 4.8/5

You say: I can genuinely say that the cancer society after sun gel is the best of the best. It has an amazing immediate soothing effect, and seems to be the only after sun gel that relieves me for more than 5 minutes after application! It dries down nicely and isn’t sticky! BR Member - keelsxx

Trilogy Clarifying Cleansing Gel - rated 4.8/5

You say: I really liked this cleansing gel! I have dry and sensitive skin and this worked well. The formula is nice and gentle and made my skin feel nice and clean, without irritation! BR Member: Kellyleanne

Oasis Beauty Rhino Repair - rated 4.7/5

You say: My skin is super dry as well as SUPER sensitive. I used this specific skin healing product every morning and every night after a shower and my skin had completely blossomed from dry and sensitive to silky smooth, evenly toned and brightened BR Member - Diaz-Paris

Wild Ferns Honey Babe Barrier Crème - rated 4.7/5

You say: I've been using to moisturise lips, tend to little bits and bobs, sort out my dry elbow patches. Within 24 hrs I had so much relief. My go to, handy for anything new favourite balm. BR Member - Barbs

Alpine Silk Bee Venom Nourishing Face Mask - rated 4.6/5

You say: The mask is amazing. I am not sure how often you are supposed to use it but I am using every other night as it makes my skin feel so good. I like the tingling sensation as you feel your skin actually tightening up. Once removed my skin feel firmer and smoother. BR Member - Yimkin

Linden Leaves Body Oil - rated 4.6/5

You say: This is a beautiful and sumptuous body oil. My favourite is the rose variant. It's smooth and so fragrant. I've used it as a body oil, hair oil to beat frizzies and in the shower. I really love that there are no nasties in this product. The oil absorbs really well too. BR Member - Joanna31

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask - rated 4.5/5

You say: I love this mask so much, it is in my top 5 masks that I use all year round. It is so thick and hydrating, and it really has Manuka Honey, it feels so natural and smells pure. You can tell there are no chemicals which I love the most. My skin feels so soft and hydrated and cool after using this. BR Member - Reberyan

Evolu Facial Toner - rated 4.5/5

You say: I have very sensitive skin and this did not cause any irritation or stinging at all. It sprays lightly and evenly all over my face and does not leave any sticky residue. I like to use this at night especially after I have used a clay mask. My skin feels refreshed and soft. BR Member - Lisa-Lou

Lots of lovely products and great brands on the list but I recently discovered another NZ brand worth mentioning and that is Mia Belle.Gorgous natural skin loving products in her range and eco friendly.

Loved the Essano Pear & Vanilla candle, haven’t tried the Blood Orange one yet. I’m a massive fan of Antipodes products, I did also like the Oasis sunscreens but haven’t tried the Rhino Repair yet.

Ooh, yes, I've loved the Wild Ferns hand creams in the past (they smell divine!) but haven't tried their barrier creme, which I shall now do! Sounds perfect for my super-dry hands right now. Same goes for the Oasis Rhino cream, which I've heard good things about but never tried. I use Oasis Sun and would add that to the 'Kiwi Greats' list, because although it's a little thick for my daily regimen, if I'm going to be out hiking or gardening, it's my go-to suncream: mineral, gentle, moisturising and effective - and very reasonably priced.

I definitely agree with the essano candle and cancer society after sun gel! So many other products I haven't tried yet so will have to keep an eye out for them.

Linden Leaves and the honey babe are great products I'm interested in bee venom but isnt that cruel to bees extracting their venom?

Essano Candle looks good - love candles especially orange. I've tried Trilogy cleanser before its good but not a patch on my facial cleansing device I now use. I'm loving Trilogy QO10 Booster Oil though my fav at mo. Trilogy sold around the world I was surprised how popular it is! I've used Evolu shower gel before & that's a great product.
