St. Tropez Self Tan Express Advanced Bronzing Mousse

I read positive reviews of this on BR, and after a disastrous experience with Le Tan products I was excited to try St Tropez.

WOW. Within an hour I already had some colour, but after 3 hours I was sooo happy with my tan! A truly even, golden glow.

It definitely has the classic ‘fake tan’ smell, but it’s not as bad as other products (Le Tan).

I really can’t wait to use this in summer!

I love how this mousse gave me that sun-kissed glow I’ve been missing. It is very lightweight, smell is great, it doesn't streak at all.. It required very little rubbing in because it melted gently and evenly into my skin. I kept it on the full 3 hours, and when I showered the first time I gently washed with soap and didn't scrub. This tan lasted for more than a week and got lots of compliments!

So the blurb on this tan had my hopes up and I'm happy to say I'm not disappointed!

I am the unfortunate owner of skin so pale my darling partner once asked me why my legs looked blue lol!

I've experimented with so many tans over the years with varying results but the most common results were a yuck smelling orange cast to my skin with, shall we say, uneven colour, especially around the knees and elbows.

I'm stoked to say there was not even a hint of oompa loompa orange to be seen with this, not with a one hour application and not with a 4 hour one.

The only time I really got a hint of that fake tan chemical smell was in the rinse off stage in the shower, happy to report than on drying and with a liberal smothering of body oil it was gone for good.

It may have been the glove applicatior but this was by far the least streaks I've managed with a fake tan

The mousse has a light brown colour on application, great for oleiss blue legs over here as I could tell where I'd applied product already and keep the coat nice and even.

Alll in all this is a definite keeper for me, the fact that the packaging is my favorite colour is an added bonus!

I’m very pale (and prefer to fake tan to protect my skin from the sun) so was really excited to try this - especially the fact that it is supposed to develop so quick! The first time I used it I thought I would leave it on for 3-4 hours which was recommended for very dark results to give it a real test but I will say it wasn’t as dark as I would have thought! I reapplied the next day and again left it for about 3 hours. It does keep developing but I felt like this got the perfect sun kissed glow for me. It applied well, no lines or patches at all and didn’t really notice the smell which is great! Overall I’d definitely recommend!

First time using this brand and I'm so impressed.

Was super easy to apply with the velvet mitt, only needed to use a small amount on each leg and arm. I was only going to leave it on for an hour before showering but ended up leaving it on for three hours and the results are amazing. I thought with me having super pale skin I would of over done the colour but this was not the case, the shade is perfect for me and looks super natural and streak free. It comes in a very generous sized 200ml pump bottle and is vegan-friendly that is super quick-drying, non-sticky and hydrating with a no self tan smell. This is definitely the only self tanning product I will be using from now on, after trying many over the years only to get sub standard results. St. Tropez Self Tan Express is my number one!!!

What girl doesn’t like bronzed all year round? With the St. Tropez Self Tan Express Advanced Bronzing Mousse you can. Loving this product. Application is made super easy with the velvet applicator mitt. My tan was flawless and streak free. No more waiting for a tan to develop over multiple hours or even over night either, you can wash off in as little as 1 hour depending on you preferred shade level: 1 hour-light, 2 hours -medium or 3 hours-dark. I went with 3 hour (dark), and my tan was even, warm and left my skin perfectly sun kissed and glowing. Since you do not need to leave to develop overnight, once washed off, your tan continues to develop, and your sheets stayed white. Will definitely be using again to maintain my summer glow.

I haven't bottle tanned in years! My fondest memories come to me from the 90's. A decade of orange, patchy, stinky skin... awful. So I was super keen to give this a whirl, thank you BR. I got prepped and decided to go for a 3 hour bake for a dark tan. I did it to the minute, then rinsed (showered). I then went to bed in anticipation of waking up to my fully developed glorious dark tan. It was light. I was disappointed and thought perhaps I was a little miserable on the application, so I did another round (a little more generous with the mousse) and let it bake for 5 hours before rinsing. Yep, I wanted to go DARK. I didn't. I would say my efforts resulted in a medium tan. Don't get me wrong, I think the product is awesome and the colour is beautifully natural, but I would anticipate quite a few applications to get a very dark tan. NOTE: My skin tone is medium warm tone. My Summers begin with a burn and end in a tan.

Can you hear the self-tanning angels singing? I certainly can after trialing this product! With the exception of one single tanning product that is no longer made, I have never come across a fake tan that didn't make my snow white legs look like roasted carrots... until now. This product is the holy grail of fake tans and I'm hooked on it. Let's start with the scent, not overpowering, easy on the nasal passages and definitely was not giving the usual fake tan odour. Big tick in that column. Consistency of the product was great being a mousse, not runny and not greasy like the cream/lotion type tanning products are. Application with the velvet glove was a breeze, although the glove could do with being a bit longer in length so it sits higher/well above the wrist. Good coverage was easy and using the glove ensured no streaks and an even distribution of the product. Because I'm lily white in complexion I opted for the light tan, it recommends washing it off after an hour but after about 40 minutes I liked the depth of colour so chose to wash it off early. Love love love the colour! A natural looking glow of colour, the depth of the colour was enough to look natural on my legs and not looking like I'd dipped myself in cocoa and paprika as other products have before. I got 4 days out of the colour before I reapplied the product again. And again only left it on for 40mins before washing it off. I absolutely love this product and it will be a mainstay in my arsenal for the summer months.

I suck when it comes to self tan….I always would look streaky, and have an orange tinge (I’m a naturally tan person, but pale in winter).

I preped my skin as advised, and went to applying the tan with the mitt….the mousse is tinted so you can see where you had applied. I was tempted to leave overnight, but I didn’t. I washed off after 3hrs and thought, ok…I look a bit tan but nothing major. I was dubious about the “developing over 8hrs”…was thinking “yeah right”.

I was so wrong - woke up the next day looking GOLDEN!! I was amazed and extremely happy with the result. The lower part of my legs are normally tan resistant - even if I am in the sun! But my pasty lower legs tanned as well!! Reapplied 2 days later just to see what would happen, and I swear my tan looked even better!

I’m on day 5 now and the tan is definitely fading, there are some patches, but they’re barely noticeable.

Overall…amazing product…I’m sold! This is my new go too.
