I've been using St Ives since a teenager and have always found their products to be well priced and reliable. I would like to see them become more environmentally friendly with their packaging though. The exfoliating wash is gentle, yet great to use before fake tanning. It has a great texture and smells fruity, sweet. I haven't brought this particular product for many years, but remember it well.
I feel that this product peaked in 2009 and has since been trumped. I have fond memories of using this product at my parents house and scrubbing myself raw for not apparent reason. Having reused this recently I can say it is no longer compares to other scrubs on the market. The smell is overly sweet and the grit in the scrub is very coarse, too coarse in my opinion. It offers no moisturising component which is very noticeable as your skin is left dry afterwards that compared with other products on the market isn't up to standard. I honestly think this product needs to be left behind in 2009 with supre ra-ra skirts, thin brows and concealer covered lips. Lets all pretend it didn't happen and move on to a big girl body scrub ..
I haven’t used this stuff in years, I stopped using it because it used to dry my skin out something terrible, the smell is a little sweet for my liking but that’s probably the best thing about it
i remember this from my teenage years. i remember taking massive globby handfuls of it and slathering it on myself. was it wasteful? yes. was it glorious? also yes.
the smell is very fresh and fruity but at the same time its also a bit.. meh. nothing about it stands out to me in this day and age. back in my tween years this was muchly coveted and you knew you were in the bathroom of someone cool if they had this or herbal essences in the shower.
the exfoliation side is a bit meh as well, i found i got a better scrub on using my loofah but maybe that was just me. the scent sat on my skin for a little while but it was immediately gone the minute i opened my moisturizer.
my skin felt average after using. it was soft yep but i didn't feel moisturized or hydrated. i did feel like my skin had a slight glow to it because of the scrub though, which is nice, and i find that happens after every time i use a scrub so points for that.
for me there are far superior scrubs out there, but this was nice in my heyday and it's a swirl down memory lane when i see it in the supermarket.
This is an amazing exfoliating body wash, i usually will use this as an alternative to a pre tan exfoliation. It smells absolutely beautiful and goes a long way. You dont need alot and it really lathers up.
This is one of my favourite body washes. The smell is so fruity and delicious. It flet lovely on my skin and I felt so clean after using it. It was easy to spread and stuck to the body well and didn't just fall off on to the shower floor so you felt like you got a great wash.
This wash enlightens the senses with its fresh apricot scent and gives my day a good kick start. The natural beads exfoliate the skin gently, leaving it feeling, soft, smooth, fresh and clean but not super exfoliated so would be good for more sensitive skin. The bottle is easy to use and fits well in the shower caddy. A little bit goes a long way and I found the bottle lasted quite a while.
This is great to use in the shower, especially in the morning, the smell of apricots really activates my appetite even though I actually hate to eat them, just love their fragrance.
It performs well at not only deeply cleansing my skin but it also sloths away dead skin cells leaving me super soft and slippery once dried and lotion applied which I love.
The peachy orange, gritty liquid gives a slight lather when applied by hand and would imagine used in conjunction with a mitt or sponge would make even more of a bubbly situation if that is your thing.
This is a classic that has been around for decades! I first remember using this when I was at university, getting to buy my own choice of toiletries for the first time.
I love the large bottle, the affordable price and the refreshing smell. I also love the natural jojoba beads, avoiding microplastics long before it was fashionable to do so.
This is a great all rounder for anyone - particularly if you like the smell of apricot.
Tips: Combine this with a loofah for a great exfoliating experience.
