by BR Tabatha

We love a multi-purpose product here at BRHQ. One that we can pop in our handbag and grab whenever we notice that our hands are dry, our lips parched, or our skins resemble a dried up river bed... But which multi-purpose products in the flooded market are the best? Check out seven that have been reviewed, rated and reached Top Rated status!

1.  Trilogy Everything Balm

Beauty Review Member Brittanygilchrist says: It's like a wonder balm. I use it on my dermatitis fingers, on my eczema on my neck, on my face if it sees too much sun, on my lips...everywhere! It's super moisturising and also works as a good barrier.

2.  Oasis Beauty Rhino Repair

RATED: 4.7/5

Beauty Review Member CJ3 says: I used this product as a lip balm, and to soften dry skin on hands and feet - was amazing. I also used it on a persistent patch of eczema and believe it has really helped to reduce the itchyness and redness.

4.  Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

Beauty Review Member PJRoss says: I bought some hoping it would help with the dryness and have never looked back! It helped amazingly with smoothing down my chapped lips and dry skin. This is an amazing healing ointment, I use it on everything.

5.  Lakoko

RATED: 4.5/5

Beauty Review Member SixCavemen says: I love Lakoko Balm and use it in my beauty therapy business facials and massage sessions. As well as using it at home. It's fantastic on the skin as an all over nourishing balm as well as the face - but also I have used it as a hair mask!

6.  Coco Island Paw Paw Ointment

RATED: 4.5/5

Beauty Review Member andreabrown says: When I get a cold, the skin under my nose etc just falls off. So it looks very dry and flakey after. This ointment returned the moisture but helped the healing, also made my lips soft as the winter does the damage drying them out.

7.  NIVEA Cream

RATED: 4.1/5

Beauty Review Member Kat555 says:  I love to use it on my rough dry spots like by elbows, feet and knees. It does the job and they clearly got this formula right. It doesn't have a horrible smell and is great with any other fragrance. What's not to like? Definitely a staple item to have.

So, my beauties, how is your skin handling the winter months? Is it in need of some extra care? Have any of the multi-purpose products above caught you eye? Or are you already a convert?

I love and regularly use Trilogy everything balm and rhino repair. Love Elizabeth Arden 8hr cream too but when there’s awesome kiwi brands at a great price I tend to lean to them. One I think that’s missing from this list is Weleda Skin Food - I wouldn’t be without it!

I LOVE Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream! I'd never use anything else (except their pearls!) if I could afford it. I also like the Wild Ferns and Trilogy balms.

Never heard of lakoko before. I definitely need to check this out as need a good multi natural balm to use on my dry reactive skin.

Oooh the Trilogy balm looks good! I must try it, I gifted one last year but haven't picked one up for myself yet!

I have enjoyed using the Trilogy balm and the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream, both are pretty amazing

I think the Trilogy balm was the last one I used, but it's like a year since I used a multi purpose product.

Trilogy everything balm is definitely my favorite! Mostly on my lips but also the odd dry spot, sore or scratch - it works on everything!
