I was very excited to try this foundation. I put it to the test for a day of Christmas activities and functions. I was happy with the colour and it applied well with no irritation to my sometimes sensitive skin. It felt lightweight but with good cover. A SPF is important to me so was pleased to see that. Overall it lasted the day well but I wouldn't say it was sleep proof although I do usually try to remove my makeup at night anyway.

Applied like a dream - felt like I didn't need lots to achieve a super smooth and buttery complexion. Skin looked soft and smooth - it didn't look dry or build-up. Foundation gave super nice coverage and made my skin look flawless without looking cakey. Wore well all day and I didn't have to touch up! Loved this and the price is really good!
Tips: Apply with fingers to get skin warm and to allow foundation to sink in.
Product looks great, very appealing. Not a fan of the smell, it's quite potent but once it is on skin smell disappears. Coverage is great, it is definitely crease-proof, transfer-proof and water-proof. Didn't come off onto my sheets but does come off using a make-up remover cloth.
I still had coverage the next morning, although not full coverage like I had just put it on. It does look natural as long as you choose the right colour. I would definitely buy again.
I tried the Rimmel London Lasting Finish 35 Hour Foundation. It felt nice on my skin and didn't feel thick. I find getting a good foundation hard, finding one that doesn't make you look like you have too much make up on. It did feel natural on. I would like to trial it a bit longer as I didn't get a chance to try it on a hot day. But at this point I would recommend it.
Tips: You don't need much to cover your skin
The Rimmel London Lasting Finish 35 Hour Foundation boasts impressive claims, offering unbeatable hydration, up to 35 hours of wear, and a clean, cruelty-free, and vegan formula. Infused with hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and 2% niacinamide, it aims to provide full coverage, improve skin radiance, and offer SPF20 protection. Despite its promises, I experienced a few dry spots on my cheeks and under my eyes, raising concerns about its hydrating claims. However, it definitely lived up to being sleep-proof, waterproof, crease-resistant, and transfer-resistant.
Tips: Although it is actually sleep-proof, due to my new dry skin blotches, I recommend removing it nightly.
This is my first time using a long lasting waterproof foundation. I usually wear a BB cream which is very light so I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the Rimmel London Lasting Finish 35 Hour Foundation.
The pump bottle is easy to use and means less mess. It feels very thick when I first put it on my skin but it doesn't look like a thick layered foundation. After about 5 minutes, it settles into my skin and I don't feel it at all.
I'm so impressed at how many benefits it managed to include for a foundation. My favourites benefits are that it is Infused with hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and 2% niacinamide. Having SPF20 is awesome as my moisturiser also has SPF30 so I feel that both combined create a fantastic sun barrier for my skin.
I'm also surprised that it feels quite natural on my skin, once it has settled in, yet is extremely durable - sleep-proof, waterproof, crease-resistant and transfer-resistant. It really is a fantastic foundation and I haven't had the opportunity to try it while I'm swimming yet but that will be happening this week.
I would definitely recommend the Rimmel London Lasting Finish 35 Hour Foundation as it looks great, feels good, lasts ages, protects and nourishes your skin all at the same time.
I was super excited to be a part of the Rimmel 35 Hour Foundation , especially if this foundation could stay on through my sweating, wearing a mask and long hours at work.
I chose shade 100 Ivory thinking this would be perfect sadly it’s quite tan , like 3 shades too dark . I’m a neutral porcelain shade usually . So that’s my fault . It has oxidised going even darker . I love that the foundation is spf 20 !
I really really love a pump bottle , makes application so much better than unscrewing a lid and pouring foundation on sponge or back of hand .
First thing I noticed was there’s a strong fragrance . Not too bad, almost orange like? Which I’ve never experienced from a foundation .
I applied with a damp beauty blender after usual skin care routine . I did not apply a primer as I really wanted to put the foundation to the test.
There was no tightness , but I didn’t find the foundation hydrating, there was no settling into fine lines or creasing at all so that’s a huge bonus! But the downfall is it really does transfer and that’s without sweating first , so I was bummed . With the first hour I could sipe my face with my fingers and there’s foundation on them.
The foundation does look great though in terms of finish, so this would be a perfect foundation for a dinner date .
As someone who values a flawless finish and durability in their makeup, this foundation proved to be a worthy addition to my beauty routine. When applied on top of moisturized and primed skin, the foundation glided on smoothly, evenly, and non-patchy. The texture was lightweight, and it effortlessly blended into my skin, providing a seamless and natural look and giving me a healthy, radiant glow that lasted throughout the day.
This foundation held up remarkably well in the humidity as well, only fading slightly in areas where I tend to sweat more. It didn't settle into fine lines or wear off unevenly, providing consistent coverage that stayed intact for hours.
Tips: Make sure to apply to hydrated and primed skin to get the best outcome and always finish with a setting spray to help keep the foundation looking it's best for as long as possible.
I like Rimmels Foundations and have used them before in the past, but to be honest, I didn't really find this was any better than the 25 hr lasting foundation. I got the soft beige, which was maybe slightly the wrong colour but wore it to to work for the week with some powder etc. I didn't find it anymore hydrating with the Hyaluronic Acid in it and I still think the Loreal is better. By the end of the day it had worn off my chin so definitely not 35hr staying power. Great that it had SPF 20 in it. I felt it didn't last the distance for me unfortunately. Not sure I would purchase again.
Tips: I found it applied better for me with a damp sponge rather than a brush
The first day I got this foundation I put a swatch on my neck. I went to sleep with it on, showered and it was still on afterwards! Definitely meets its claims of being long wearing, sleep-proof and waterproof. The coverage is buildable, I don't find it to be full-coverage right off the bat, but definitely able to be built up to full coverage. All in all, a good foundation however do take note that it does oxidise so maybe go one shade lighter
