I have been using the same brow product over and over again for ages. Its the Maybelline Brow Pomade.
Being a busy working mum of 2, I didnt have time to realise the damage it had been doing to my eye brows!
Lets just say they are in need of a break. Im going to try and encourage brow growth with castor oil.
What are some good brow products out there these days? No Pomades or waxs!

Ladies I need your advice!
I would always repurchase my fave foundation- Revlon Colourstay. I have recently switched to the Maybelline Activewear Foundation. I love how the coverage is fuller but it turns out very patchy and makes fine lines look way more noticeable.
Can anyone recommend a medium-full coverage foundation that is not patchy and won't enhance fine lines?

In these cooler months I tend to reach for a super nourishing and hydrating face moisturiser and I switch to a in shower body moisturiser for my body. I religiously use lip balm in the winter. I have one by Living Nature which has never failed me and I love to wear darker lip colors. My go to liquid lip stick is Copenhagen by NYX which is a part of their Soft Matte Lip Cream range.
Help! I have a major issue right now with dry skin on my face/scalp. I spent 3 weeks in hospital and since I stayed there my skin has been itching and peeling so bad. I think it may had been the air conditioning. I have tried many masques and cleansers and they make it worse. The wierd thing is moitsurisers, even sensitive skin ones make my skin burn so bad. Can anyone reccomend a product that is going to help my skin?
I recently got my hair cut at a new salon that just opened up. I was a bit nervous but it was the best hair cut I have ever recieved! My hair has never looked so healthy. I have also swtitched up my skincare which I new this was coming. Due to hormonal changed from pregnancy my skin when crazy! It was honestly a nightmare. The dry patches, the flaking, so many pimples, makeup didnt sit nicley, sometimes didnt even cover it, the rashes and sensitivity etc. I found a good skincare range to deal with these issues and I have had to bad reactions as of yet. I have also brought some differnt lipsticks as im starting to step out of my comfort zone with differnt shades daily now. It feels like I have just gotten a new wardrobe!
Thanks for sharing hun. I knew about the sharing part but not about the tagging.
I tend to stay away from facebook comps now as some members on here see it as "a crime" to have anything to do with them. I tend to avoid them so I don't get picked on again.
Im still shocked about the tagging part though.

I personally think we are just learning more. We are learning about active ingredients in skincare products and what to look for and steer clear from. From learning we are making better choices in the products we reach for which makes a whole lot of difference. I like to be in the know, in what I put on my skin.
I gave in and tried pro active when I was 19 due to the fact that I had really bad acne, acne scars and I was worried I wasn't growing out of it. Pro Active did change my skin, clear it up and I got rid of the acne but I didn't like putting it on my skin and some days I remember my skin being fully dry and peeling and moisturiser didn't fix that either. So im 50/50 quite wary

I absolutely loved trialing this straightener out. Thank you Beauty Review for this amazing opportunity.
I was so excited to be selected for this trial. I have tried quite a few straighteners before and from different brands as I have super thick and curly hair I find it hard to find a hair straightener that gives me beautiful long lasting results until I tried this one! Remington is a brand that I know and trust, I remember when I was a kid my mum used products by Remington and they were amazing quality. Its been a family favorite for years.
This straightener is a lovely champagne colour with a gold chrome trim. I think that’s the best way to describe the colour. I really think it’s quite classy and one thing I noticed straight away was that it is super light weight. It's easy to hold and comfortable to use. I love how the cord is long so its easy to use if your power point is a fair way away. It comes with a cute heat resistant storage bag which I love! The only thing I came across with this straightener is that I found it hard to lock, but it could just be my anti co ordination or a faulty lock? Im not too sure. Other than that, its fabulous.
It is very fast to heat up. I use it at 230 degrees, but it has 5 temperature settings that can be seen on the digital display. It heats up to your preferred temperature in 15 seconds. I have very thick and curly hair and this straightener perfectly straightened my hair from curls in no time plus it left my hair silky and shiny which never happens. I’m so impressed. I have also tried this out on my hair when it was damp, and it worked so well.
It certainly protects my hair, it no longer looks damaged after straightening. I feel as though these straighteners are top quality and will last a long time. It also comes with a 5 year warranty.
My honest opinion is that this hair straightener is better than a GHD hands down! I get the best results each time I use these and I can straighten my hair in half of the time that it usually takes me. I'm obsessed and they have sure changed my hair care routine for the better.
For the last year I have been struggling with finding a cleanser that was right for my skin due to a number of products causing irritation. I had given up for a while and just used water until I was sent and invitation to trial the Hydrating Cleansing Oil by Simple.
My first thoughts were : How can an oil possibly be applied, cleanse and be washed off without leaving residue or grease behind? Little did I know this was going to prove me wrong.
Firstly this tall but slim designed bottle has a safety cap under the lid, so remove that to begin. I used this twice daily. Morning and Night. Apply a couple of drops onto the palmy of your hand and then simply rub it all over your face and neck. Then simply rinse off in warm water. Simple right?!
This no fuss cleanser certainly did suprise me. It left my skin feeling super hydrated and non greasy. It was really quick to use and it did a top job. When I first used this at night time to get my makeup off. I thought no way was this going to remove it all. Wrong again - It removed everything, foundation right down to mascara/ Perfectly, it even got all of my foundation and concealer out of my deep pores. I have never had a product that has achieved that before. Oh and as for the mascara - all removed. It is gentle on the eyes as well which is good because there's nothing worse that burning stinging eyes. As for the worry regarding oily during the day, I never encountered a problem with that. The cleanser also has no irritants or scent to it which is great for us sensitive girls!
A little amount of product goes a long way. I do see this bottle lasting a decent amount of time. Well worth $11.99.
This is the first product I have used by Simple but It wont be the last. I'm hooked!
I have always wanted to try a product by Dr LeWinns. I have heard so many positive things about this brand and the packaging always looks so nice and sophisticated.
To give you a really accurate review of this higher end skincare product I will give you a quick background of my skin: My skin has changed dramatically since having my daughter 9 months ago. Thos pesky hormones right. Now days my skin is so dry and I have episodes of super dry, flakey, eczema/rash. I normally just refer to it as severe irritation that I cant wear makeup for a week.
Every skincare product I have tried over the past 9 months has done nothing or made my skin worse.
I was so excited when I recieved the invite to trial this Dr LeWinns Day Cream Moisturiser.
I have trialed this for a couple of weeks now and I can honestly say it has made a 100% in my skin for the better. It is very lightweight and it rubs in very well and almost makes my face and neck feel like velvet. And after the application my makeup slides on very smoothly over the top. Instantly hydrated and my skin stays hydrated to the end of the day! I can safely say that I have never found a moisturiser that has done this. I personally believe that they have got this formula spot on!
During my trial I did have one of my skin "episodes" and my skin started to blister and peel around my nose, mouth, chin and forehead. At first the moisturiser stung a little bit (BUT everything i applied stung) and by the second day it was starting to clear up slowly due to my skin holding the moisture from the product which I found fantastic!
I love the fact that it has SPF 15. I used this with a foundation that has SPF 20 and it protected me from the sun.
As for the packaging, I love how gorgeous and sophisticated it is! And the fact that you twist it up and down to access the product. I love it! No more caps or squeezing to get product out. This causes less waste. And as for the pump: I have had no problems at all with it.
I personally recommend this moisturiser. Its amazing and will change your skin.
Ive always been a fan of Dermalogica. I love their cleansers. I have been looking for a green primer for a while so I thought Id give this ago as I needed a green primer to reduce the redness on my face.
This primer retails for $88. I know that some of you may think its a bit pricey but I have tried cheaper green primers and they simply just don't work well. I have tried green primers of all consistencies (runny, creamy, tooth paste consistency). All of each having their own pros and cons. The consistency of this dermalogica primer is watery if you dont shake it, once shaken it is a mix between a tad on the pasty side and creamy. I quite enjoyed this primer. It covered all my redness on my face and it covered my large red birthmark. I did not enjoy the smell but that's a small sacrifice to pay. It smells like eucalyptus.
I have repurchased this primer but I am trying to find an alternative. I do recommend this to cover redness. Its the perfect color correcter.
I really ADORE this palette from W7! This is my first W7 product I have purchased so I wasn't sure what to expect. I had been hunting around for a decent eye shadow palette for a long time now. I picked this up at the Big Bucket Sale for $9 which is such a bargain as these retail for $20.
I love the packaging! The tin it comes in looks pretty damn flash. I was so impressed when I first saw this. I noticed when I opened it up there was no mirror, which wasn't a biggie for me anyway- I don't tend to use the mirrors on them. I'm not a fan of the applicator it came with, I don't tend to use them either, so I just threw it out.
One thing that I find that is such a shame is that the eyebrow's are not named! Such a bummer! Most of the eye shadows have a shimmer in them. The 1st shadow is the lightest. I use it as a brow highlight everyday. To me it looks matte but if I look carefully there are a few tiny shimmers in it but you cant really tell. The second shadow is a bronze/gold shimmery colour. I typically use this on my lid, in my crease or on my lower lash line. Such a gorgeous colour! The 3rd shadow is a lighter shade. It is shimmery and I love to use this in my inner corner for the perfect highlight!. The 4th and 6th color are both shimmery and I just use them in my outer v. The 5th shade is 100% Matte and its more of a taupe colour. I will forever use this as my crease colour. Its also beautiful on my lid paired with thick winged liner. The 7th, 8th and 9th shades are starting to get cooler and more ashy towards 8 & 9. All shimmery. 10 and 11 are darker bronze shades with shimmer perfect for the outer v. The last shade is black and its more of a matte shadow. I love this for my lash line or to define my outer v for full definition.
The shadows last all day even without a primer. They are very long lasting. But I do warn you be careful on the fall out, especially on the darker bronze colours. They are the ones I have the most problems with.
Overall I love this palette! I will be looking at buying the rest of them soon.
I love this product. It is a moisturiser that builds up to a nice natural tan. I love the fact it has no nasty chemicals in it and is actually the best gradual tan I’ve used. It’s not super moisturising but even after one use my skin looks so much better, you can build up the tan as much as you like. Don’t be too heavy handed a couple of daily applications should leave your skin looking nice and brown. I don’t love the smell but it’s nicer than many other tanning products out there. It is slightly more than I would normally spend on a tanning product I found it gave my skin a beautiful tan and did last longer than I thought it would. It never did any damage to my sheets or clothing. Will definitely purchase again. As with any other tanning product makes a big difference to shave, exfoliate beforehand and apply some moisturiser to any drier areas of skin i.e. ankles, knees and allow to absorb before applying tan. Don’t forget to wash your hands!
It seems the BR world is divided into people who love this and people who don't. I really wanted to love this but....I just.....can't. I bought this at the height of its hype and was really excited to get the last bottle hidden away on the bottom supermarket shelf. I find the clear bottle with its pink lid attractive and the amount you get represents good value for money. It contains a clear, almost odourless liquid that does bubble up if you give it a shake.
Ok, so before we get started, let me make this clear. I am devoted to hot cloth cleansing with a thick, oily cleanser. So micellar was probably never going to be a good fit for me but I tried to go in with an open mind. What I found was that I had to soak a lot of cotton wool with a lot of the micellar to get all my makeup off. It took at least five before they came away clean. I didn't rinse if off the first few times I used it and after a few minutes I got the weirdest sensation on my skin. Not burning or tingling but bubbling. Weird (and I wouldn't describe my skin as sensitive) One time I didn't apply moisturiser straight away and my skin went very red. After that, I rinsed after use and my skin did feel clean and soft. However, this is when I decided micellar was not for me. It just seemed like a lot more time and faff involved than my usual HCC and with not great results. Really, it's no better than the dreaded face wipe (don't get me started on those!)
As this only has a six month shelf life, I don't want to waste it so I use it when I'm away. I've decanted it into a smaller bottle with no spillage disasters. Sadly, it won't remove my latest mascara so I'm back to finding another use for it. A few on the forum say it makes a good brush cleaner so I'm going to give that a go next.
Disappointing but I know many swear by it, it's just not for me.
Tips: What I do find this good for is removing long lasting or very pigmented lipstick. Soak a cotton pad with it and hold to you lips for a few seconds and it's all gone!
There was so much hype about these lippies on the MUO facebook page that I had to go out and see for myself. But every time I went to the dollar stores, the shades that were being raved about were always sold out.
A few weeks after my last attempt I was lucky enough to find a store that had most of the shades I was after. The main shade I grabbed and fell in love with was eggplant. Oh my goodness it is stunning!!
It's a beautiful dark berry shade and my all time favourite Jordana shade. I only paid $4 each for my lipsticks which is such an incredible price especially given the quality of the products.
I'm not a fan of fhe packagaing, I actually hate it to be honest, it reminds me of budget makeup which these lipsticks definitely do not fit under.
They have incredible pigmentation. I wasn't expecting this sort of quality/pigmentation from these lipsticks, I actually had very low expectations purely based on how cheap they were but as soon as I swatced them on my wrist and then on my lips I was sold.
They're not very long lasting but I have no complaints about that. I mean hey, they were only $4 a pop and with the pigmentation alone you're already getting your moneys worth.
They even smell good. Some of them have a very stong sweet scent, like a vanilla scent and it is absolutely amazing. I did notice that a few of them had different scents, all equally amazing but still a little different. I guess the scent varies on the finish of the lipstick? I'm not 100% sure but they smell amazing!!
Some of my terrible habits have led me to having discoloured teeth, so I have tried many products that promise to whiten teeth, with many mediocre results. With these whitening trays, although my teeth were whiter after use, they were not comfortable to use. Trying to put in top and bottom at the same time led me to gag and waste a heap of the product, putting just one in at a time and I just couldn't get them to sit comfortably, at one point ending up with a cut gum. I wont be using these again, but will continue my quest to find the ultimate whitening product!
As part of a recent Lush order I did, they threw in a generous sample of this mask. I hadn't tried it prior to that and was looking forward to giving it a go, particularly because it has exfoliating particles in it.
This mask is a thick green paste with small gritty parts in it. It smells like mint and feels extremely cooling on your skin upon application. The texture is really thick so it takes a little bit of work to get it into your skin.
I like to use a brush to apply this all over my face and I leave it on for around 30 minutes. Then I rinse it off with warm water and moisturise as per usual.
After using this the redness in my face looks less extreme and my face feels extremely clean and fresh. My skin doesn't feel dry during use or after using it either.
I love how this feels while this is on my face and after. My skin feels super clean and renewed. I will definitely be purchasing this when my sample has run out.
