Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence Review

It would take a miracle for my skin to go back to its glory days of youth - alas, this wasn't the miracle I needed, but I really did enjoy using it.

I LOVE the packaging - it's very luxe-looking. The dropper is the best I've used. It gave me just the right amount of product and it worked right until the very end of the bottle.

The scent wasn't too strong, which I appreciate. The serum itself wasn't too thick nor too watery (Goldilocks would approve), and it sunk quickly into my skin after I'd cleansed and toned.

Did I see amazing results? Nothing mind-blowing, BUT my skin did not react to any of the ingredients and I felt my skin looked more toned and my wrinkles did not deepen, which made me feel it was holding off the march of time.

Would I use again? Absolutely. Would it be my holy grail? No... the search is still on for that particular miracle product.

A BBBE item was the Olay Regenerist Youth Pre-Essence. I am definitely not 'youth' but this product immediately appealed in its attractive red container with a silver top! I had no night cream at the time so decided to second this serum for a few weeks.

The dropper releases a frugal amount and the serum slides easily over the skin, it is light and penetrates well and quickly. The skin feels revived and soft and an overnight workout seemed ideal. It is gently fragrant.

Sadly the dropper use failed when around 70% of the product was used, and tipping became frustrating and often dispensed too much serum. However, I have persisted and now most of the container has been used.

I do think my skin wakes up feeling better nourished and would use Olay Essence again.

This product has helped my skin a lot since I received it in the last beauty vault. It comes in a red see through bottle with a silver lid, it took me awhile to figure out how to get the product out but once I realized I thought it was quite clever! You turn the lid then press the top down and the product goes into the dropper, unscrew it some more and your ready to press the lid again to squirt it into your hand. I found one squirt is enough for your entire face and neck. The product is like a gel that goes on smoothly, it feels a little sticky at the start but once it dries it feels nice and smooth on your face. It has a strange smell to it but not over powering. I use it before I moisturize and have found it has made my skins texture a lot better. I will definitely be repurchasing especially because of how long it has lasted me and is a good price.

I got this from the last BR Vault, mostly out of curiosity to try Olay products. I was also in need of a good serum anyway, so was happy to give this a trial run.

I've used quite a few serums and 'essences' from different brands, but this one gave me a noticeable feeling of going to work on my skin.

After cleansing and toning, I apply one pump of this all over my face and neck. It is quite liquid and slightly sticky in feeling, but spreads nicely across my skin. It instantly makes my face and neck feel tight and fresh.

So far I'm really happy with this, and will enjoy using up the bottle.

I was lucky to get this serum in the last vault and as I do find Olay products very good in general I was very interested to try. Love the lovely red bottle with the silver pump dispenser which saves wastage and looks very eyecatching.I had to fiddle with the pump to get it working to start but once I got it going I have been very happy with the applicator. This serum is more like a gel and one or two pumps is plenty.It has a nice fresh scent and feels really cooling as it is applied.I found it absorbs really quicky and because it feels so nice I was very tempted to apply again just to enjoy the sensation. I have noticed with continuous use my skin feels more toned and the pores on my forehead less noticeable. Overall my skin is smoother and brighter after three weeks of use and I feel that a 40 ml bottle is a generous size. This is a product I would purchase again although I haven't noticed any reduction in wrinkles but my skin is certainly nicer over all.

My daughter got to me onto this so when I saw it pop up on sale at countdown I had to grab it.

I do like olay and have had a lot of luck with their products in the past especially their moisturisers so was excited to try this and it was a great price at half what I pay for the other serums I buy.

Instantly felt like it tightened my skin on application. It looked smooth and was easily absorbed.

Slight scent to this one and the essence itself is like a gel almost. One application was plenty but I hadn't to work fast as like I said it's quickly absorbed.

Feels light to wear when it's on and also quickly tightens the skin.

The end results after using for a while are noticeably smaller pores and smoother skin. I have been using this with the night cream but I'm sure it's this tightening I can thank for the smaller pores by pinching them into place.

One dropper for me once a day has proven to be plenty and effective.

Highly recommend for the price I paid.

I got this product in a recent BBBE and was very glad, because I love Olay products and I love serums!

This comes in a very classy red bottle with a silver lid. You push the lid down to fill the dropper that you then use to drop the product either onto your face or finger, to apply. The lid goes down when you close it and pops up when you open it - very clever.

The serum is clear and thick. It has a delicious scent. I apply one dropper of the rpoduct to my face and neck every night after cleansing.It absorbs quickly into my skin and leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth. I love it. I've been resisting the temptation to over-use it, so it is week 3 and I am about half way down, which is pretty good value for me.

I feel like my skin has improved since I've started using it. My complexion looks more even and brighter. I follow it every night with the Olay anti aging moisturiser and the two together are making my skin feel lovely. I have dry skin that can now get quite blotchy with the wrong products, but this product does not irritate.

I highly recommend it.

I was immediately impressed with the packaging. The bottle is a beautiful red. The lid has a built in dropper that automatically "sucks up" the product as you unscrew the lid. Very clever! I used one dropper full per application and found that that was more than enough. I used it morning and night in conjunction with the micro sculpting cream. I have normal to combination skin. I'm 43 years old, so I am beginning to see the wrinkle appear, tired dull skin texture and a bit of sagging...booooo!!!!!. I found the pre-essence really soothing and made my skin feel so fresh and bright. It is a clear liquid gel. It has a really nice subtle fragrance, that's not too overpowering. Because I was using it with the cream, I cant say whether it was this product that was giving me the positive changes. But I am sure that this product had something to do with it. I used the product morning and night everyday for a month. Even though I was not stingy on the product and I applied it liberally I still have at least half of it left! The most noticeable difference I have experienced is that my skintone is so much more even and brighter. It no longer looks dull or tired. My pores are less visible around my nose and it feels smoother. I am amazed at the results from just using half of the jar. I cannot wait to keep using these products and experience even more improvements.

I was super happy to receive this to trial as I'd been looking for a new serum for a while. It comes in a really pretty box thats red, love it already!

When I took it out of the box, I had a huge amount of trouble figuring out how to open it? I almost gave up as I was scared of breaking it trying to pull the lid off. It turns out you twist once to release the pump, then twist again to remove the top and reveal a dropper.....ahhhhhh!!! The 'how to' recommended 2 pumps per use, so of course I read that as meaning 2 dropper fills, waayy too much so realised that mustve meant 2 pumps on the lid (I felt really dumb). For the first week I used as directed but it just seemed way too much so for the remainder of my 3 week trial I used one, much better and still some to spare.

It felt really lovely and cool on my skin and absorbed almost immediately, I guess my skin was pretty dehydrated. It didnt feel sticky or tacky and I found if I used it in conjunction with a moisteriser I didnt really need to use a primer under my foundation, nice!

I cant say I've noticed the lines dissapear on my face but it has definately hydrated and brightened up my skin and reduced some of the dry flaky aread around my nose (hate those). I think its a light serum and I used it morning and night as directed to get the maximum benefit. I think I'd be quite happy to carry on with this serum. The price its pretty reasonable compared to other brands and I would imagine it could last maybe 4-6 months if you only used 1 pump instead of two?
