Manicare x SIR Grooming Kit

All items in the kit work well. I found the scissors could have been sharper. The main issue with the product was the packaging, each item is so securely in they are SO difficult to get out of the case and you could break a nail trying to get them out.

I scored this wee kit from the vault - and it was perfect timing as I kept catching my nails and it was getting annoying when they ripped. The container is great, perfect size to keep in my handbag, and it doesn't open even when it is in there with a million other things. The inset to keep the items in place is too tricky for my fingers - so I just leave everything loose in the box, which works well for me. The quality is fine, definitely not the most hardy set, but I use it for on the go for annoying nail tears while I'm out and about or at work. If I was doing a manicure at home I would use a more hardy set.

This kit is exactly what I needed and didn't really realise I did! I visit my darling Dad who lives in a rest home, while the staff are amazing there are still things that I like to do. This kit has everything I need to keeps Dads nails short and tidy. The tweezers are great for those random eyebrows and ear hairs that seem to grow out of control! This kit is small enough to fit nicely into my bag.

I received this as part of the my BBBE and was particularly excited to try the nail clippers and tweezers as my old ones needed retiring.

I like the pink floral box, which is easy to open with a sprung hinge, no stiff clips to open.

However I find the inner molds that hold each tool a bit too deep amd stiff, making it difficult to get some of the tools out. I ended up using a knife or other tools as I'm scared I'm going to break a nail!

The nail clippers work ok but I wish they were a bit larger.

The tweezers are slanted, well sprung and sharp. They work well on my brows but you would want to be very careful using them somewhere more sensitive.

So overall not awful but I wouldn't buy them again.

This is a good little set, I've used everything in it. It's good to take on the go as there's everything in it that I need. The nail clippers are definitely flimsy and fell apart a couple of times, but they're easily put back together. I'll definitely get use out of it though.

Cute small packaging with the tools one needs to maintain. I doubt I'll use all of it though. Tweezers and cuticle pusher are the only ones I have used so far. Like that it is all in one case, easy to pop in your travel or handbag to take with you on the go.

This is pretty much what you'd expect, nail scissors, tweezers, nail file and clippers.

I love that the tweezers are angled. More tweezers need to be angled!

This set came on the Christmas BBBE. I was pleased because my clippers and small scissors both desperately needed replacing.

I wasn't particularly impressed by the case, as I like classy looking manicure set cases (a childhood thing!), so that wasn't the best start. I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened it (it comes in a clear, thing, plastic covering) and the products inside were lovely and shiny. I love shiny things.

There is lovely nail file with a black plastic handle, a silver cuticle pusher tool, small nice angled tweezers, long handled small scissors and some standard clippers. The scissors aren't very strong so just made it through my thumb nails. The other tools work pretty well. The nail file is novel as I have only used emery boards for years and it reminds me of my first manicure set when I was around 12 years old. The nail clippers are very good and sharp.

I like the whole set together and like having everything together in a tidy dry place. My last scissors got ruined because I left them in a container with my razor and silver hair dye and they got wet and rusted so having these in a case is helpful.

They are $15.90 at Pharmacy Direct which seems a very fair price given they are good quality.
