Lush It started with a Kiss Lip Tint

Love a good lip stain - its probably my favourite types of makeup to wear on my lips. It's so easy to apply, they tend not to spread and reapplication is usually minimal. What I love the most is that I don't have to worry if my lip colours faded in the middle as the stains I've used tend to fade away quite nice, naturally and evenly so less checking in the mirror.

With the lush lip stain - In terms of living up to being a lip stain.. it fails. It wipes or melts away quickly. So in my opinion it acts much more like a gloss. What I found was it's great for nourishing and moisturising your lips but that's about where it stops.

It's a faint colour application whereas I prefer/am use to a lip stain that has quite a noticible even colour or a strong matte pigment application.

For the price I paid for this it was ok. If I had paid more I would have been quite disappointed.

My other lip stains apply like a felt tip pen this is a small tub so your finger is going into it a lot.. again like a lip gloss. It doesn't stain my finger hence I think the pigment is drowned by other ingredients and perhaps another reason it isn't that effective as a stain and more effective as a gloss. For nights out if I am going to reapply, I would much rather a lip stick/stain applicator method. I'm just not a fan of dipping into a pot to apply, then having to wash up etc. I purchased the pot in hopes I could apply and leave it at home thinking my pigment application would last a while but I was wrong.

The smell is nice, fresh and fruity. Quite strong but not overpowering. One of the more likeable things about it. Again my other stains are readily absorbed so don't really have this characteristic.. it's a nice feature but more suited to that again of a gloss.

I would repurchase if my lips were in desperate need of some tlc, I was at the mall and had no other choice.. for a night out I would use another lip stain.

I love the Lush brand, I think their range of products are amazing and delicious, This particular product was kind of on the average side for me, not a fan of the red it gives off, and can be quite sticky and tend to stain lips, love the smell tho

This lip tint certainly does stain your lips red, but I found the shade too bright and overwhelming and the texture a little grainy. As for the smell, it smells a bit strong for y liking and mostly of apple. I wasn't so hyped on this lip tint

Tint lipbalm lover have to be try this one. Isn't it? and when I see red lipbalm so I jump in shop bought it straight away. Product comes in aluminium tin which is I hate it. May be good for product but for I don't like dip in my finger in it specially if there is colour lip blam. If it is just normal lipbalm than I don't mind. This is not red lipstick, it's just red colour lipbalm so don't be expected work like lipstick. Lipbalm does provide nice moisturiser on lips and gives natural red pout if you looking thing like that. I have mix reviews for this product hate or love. If you apply too much than you can see around lips red colour and than you have to wipe it off.So annoying at one time. Colour is buildable but it doesn't work for me.

It is cinnamon in it which gives you nice plumper lips. But yeh hate or love feeling couldn't makeup mind for this product. May be work for other but not for me.

I really wanted to like this. I loved the idea of the lip tint, and that it was all natural, but it honestly had the texture of melted wax, which wasn't very appealing! The colour is very softly tinted, so to build up any noticeable colour you would have to apply truckloads, and it's really too heavy in texture for that. On the bright side, it's great to double as a cheek tint if you're in a pinch. It was a good handbag size. I basically just used it as lip gloss though, as the colour was too weak for my liking. The scent is good, and the tiny pot goes surprisingly far! I don't think I would buy tis again, mainly because the texture and colour strength were not to my liking.

Only good in small amounts, if you put to much on it doesn't give a smooth consistency. I use this in the morning when I know i'll be in a rush or as a top up over my red lipstick during the day

I got given it as a present, and got very excited (as you should with Lush products). The color really is long lasting, so it does it's job well. Unlike other reviews I've seen on here I did not at all mind the texture. However, while the color looks quite reddish in the container when applied it ended up being much more pink. So alas, it does get used but not very often.

UPDATE: Have now tried applying with a brush and now use it so much more often! The pink is much more wearable when spread thinner, though does wear off easier. Love the shade now!!!

Was so excited to try this as there was so much hype around it but was so disappointed. I couldn't stand the texture, it was waxy and kind of soft gritty? It's really hard to explain but it's just weird ! It wears off quick and apples as a washed out lipstick colour

I only used this a couple of times before giving up. The consistency is weird, it's very waxy and unpleasant. It's difficult to apply, I tried with a brush and with my fingers and neither worked. it does give a bit of a tint but its not the 'enticing crimson red' it promises - it looks more like worn off lipstick. Would not purchase again.
