How To Get Your Best Beauty Sleep Ever!

Sleep is an oft discussed topic amongst the Beauty Review Crew. How much we're getting. Or not getting. How long we sleep. Or don't. The best products to zap away the undereye bags after a bad night's sleep. Not to mention the tips and tricks we use to help us wake up looking like a Disney princess, no matter how good or bad of a night's sleep we get. So how can we amp up our sleep so it's at its most beauty-full? Read on...

Serum

Kiehl's Vital Skin-Strengthening Super Serum

You've washed your face. Cleansed away the day. The first step you can take to bolster your nightime beauty routine is to apply a serum. The serum you choose is up to you, but I like to reach for one that packs a punch - if it has an AHA, BHA or retinol, I'm all in. Not sure which serum might suit you? Check out these Top Rated beauties.

Eye Cream

L'Oréal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Eye Cream

I am terrible at remembering to apply eye cream in the morning. It's the one step that gets missed in the rush to get the family ready, get myself ready, and get out the door. At night, though, there's no excuse, and the delicate skin around your eyes will appreciate the extra care.

Night Cream

essano Hydrating Rosehip Moisture Restorative Night Crème

With a goodly six to eight hours ahead of you, night time is your chance to reach for a rich moisturiser, without having to worry that you're going to end up looking like you've survived an oil explosion. Slather it on over top of your serum, then let it do its thing while you dream of Pedro Pascal. (What? Just me? No? In that case, <insert your sweet dream of choice here>.)

Body Moisturiser

CeraVe Moisturising Cream

Tabby truth: in summer I'm not a fan of moisturising my body at night. I'm sticky enough with the heat and humidity of the season, but in winter, I can be convinced - and the thicker, the richer the product, the better. Apply it lavishly, then slip into your flannelette jim-jams and let it sink in overnight.

Bonus Tip: Sock it to 'em!! In other words. Go nuts with the moisturiser on your feet and hands as well, then pop some socks on top (or mittens on your hands if you have some), and you'll wake up to super soft, deeply nourished skin.

Hair Oil

Schwarzkopf Extra Care Rose Hip Oil Elixir

Lastly, if you're due a hair washing day, and you don't mind your pillow getting a touch greasy, then applying hair oil to your tresses at night is a wonderful way to give them a deeply nourishing treatment. Do avoid applying it to your scalp though, stick to the mid-lengths down. Not keen on getting your pillow and sheets dirty? Pop on a hair turban.

So, my lovelies, are you a fan of turning your sleep into beauty sleep? And what products are your go-tos? Have you tried any of the tips above? Let us know below!

If I use a hair mask overnight I wrap my hair in glad wrap to save the pillows.

I don't go to bed without a full skincare routine and these days it's rare for me to not be using one usually two beauty devices before hand.

Have been consistently using eye cream as part of my night routine for the past couple years. Wish I started sooner! Always followed a serum/oil and a night cream. Night routine has as much an essential part of my beauty routine as is my day time applications.

Definitely try not to skip my eye cream and moisturizer, makes a huge difference to the texture and look of my skin in the morning although I still struggle with puffy eyes at times unfortunately.

I have tried the L' Oreal Age Perfect Golden Age eye cream and it's really good for mature or dry skin around the eyes.

I love sleeping. Soooo much. I'm using the last of my Essano night creme at the moment. My skin still feels hydrated in the morning.
