Sorry to hear about your mum tabucutie-What and aweful 2023. I had to sort my Mum's stuff when she passed and it is such a personal journey. It does make you look at yourself too .I also cut down on a lot of spending too after this and found I worry less about things and so much more about family.Make 2024 yours and value yourselfXX

I would say affordable?? I was looking at my Lust Have It hauls and miss the subscription. So many good little bits to try.

Swedish death cleaning, generally familiar with the term but will have to look it up.

My mum passed unexpectedly last year, so have done a lot of cleaning out in all areas of my life. It's productive and atleast I have kept the things that actually have value to me. Over consumerism was quite a lot last year. Looking to make things simpler but still bring joy.

I'm going to be more money conscious too. Especially not buying stuff I don't need, using what I already have, and reducing the amount of 'things' I own. I'd love to do Swedish Death Cleaning but it'd have to be a slow process!

Trying to be more money conscious this year but want to get myself a treat every month. Are monthly beauty subscription boxes still a thing? There were big a few years ago. If they are how much and would you recommend?

Not on board with resolutions this year.

Did complete "Mel Robbins Make 2024 Your Best Year" which was good for reflection of the last year but insightful in focusing on a single goal. Recommend if you are looking for an honest and in depth way to be accountable.

Thanks Pat. I am better thanks, but fatigued and still coughing a lot. Back to work tonight sadly :( The fresh fruit hasn't happened yet, but hopefully tomorrow morning after work. I'm hanging out to find a cherry seller. Usually they're in a couple of spots in town but I haven't seen anyone this year. I see the orchardists are saying they have people queued up to work for them so hopefully that means there'll be tons of fruit at a good price during January.

Family went into Auckland Cental and there was a band playing and the children danced and enjoyed the fun and then were wowed at the fireworks.Yes it rained but they had a wonderful family time. So nice to start the New Year having fun as a family.

I want to eat better and exercise more. I work far too much and that hampers my eating habits and exercise ability, so I really have to think about what's important to me this year. I really hope it's a positive year for the whole planet.

I thought I'd make a Countdown order for delivery, but they had hardly any fruit and what they did have was eye-wateringly expensive so I'll just make do with what I have for now. It'll probably be late next week or even the week after before they start to get full deliveries again. Luckily I have apricots and strawberries from my own property!

I've been home ill with covid since Wednesday and was working prior to that, so haven't bought a single thing. I'm looking forward to some fresh fruit on Monday!

I find a fruit acid exfoliator works best. It helps release the bonds of dead, dry skin cells, unclogs pres, and leaves skin feeling so smooth. My favourites are Glow Lab Brighening Exfoliator, or Natio Ageless Skin.

I often think how lucky I am with such good friends and family and wonder what we can all to to lift the poverty in NZ. We are such a great country and should not have the level of poverty and homelessness here.
