Evolu Smoothing Body Lotion Review

First of all, I LOVE the scent of this body moisturiser. It smells like lemon and lime with a hint of floral. It's very fresh and even seems to linger for a while.

After using it mostly every day for the last 2 weeks, I can confidently say that this moisturiser isn't anything special. In saying that, it's a great product - it does its job well, it just doesn't make me want to go out and buy more. Although, because of its unique scent, I'm very happy to use the rest of the bottle up.

When applying it, the moisturiser turns quite thick and white, and takes a while to rub in. This is my biggest complaint about it, however it doesn't leave a greasy feeling once applied, so that is a bonus.

My skin stays smooth all day after applying the cream, so it definitely does its job - it just could be better. I would like it if my skin felt even smoother upon application, but that might just be personal preference.

If you enjoy a light moisturiser that smells amazing, and you don't mind spending a bit of extra time rubbing it in, then this one might be for you. It's also made with natural ingredients which is great!

Personally, I enjoy a thicker moisturiser which doesn't take too long to rub in, and that leaves my skin feeling very smooth. I didn't dislike this, it just wasn't my favourite. However I will enjoy using the rest of the bottle :)

The Evolu Smoothing Body Lotion came in a nice rectangle box. The design was minimalistic which I think was meant to mirror how the product has no chemicals or parabens in it. At first smell, I thought it was a bit weird but I soon got used to it. I think because it is a natural product I had bias going into it but really is smells just like any other body lotion. The amount you get is good, and a little goes a long way so I would say that you get what you pay for.

Now onto the actual body lotion. It is a nice texture. Not too heavy but at the same time not too runny. When it is first rubbed into the skin it can feel a bit tacky but after a minute or two it absorbs in and makes the skin feel nice and smooth. It didn’t irritate my skin at all and I would attribute that to the product being quite natural. I found that after the first week of using this product my skin no longer itched which I had previously had problems with due to my skin being really dry. I think this body lotion really did wonders in re-hydrating my skin. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody who is having problems with dry, itchy skin.

I have very dry and sensitive skin and have found this to be brilliant. My elbows and knees were extremely dry, with my legs being so dry they looked scaly. After using this my skin is soft and smooth with minimal roughness. The scaliness on my legs is almost non-existent now. While I am not overly fussed on the smell, it is not overpowering and it doesn't linger which I like. It absorbs quickly, is non-greasy, and not oily so great for applying before getting dressed. A little goes a long way, so the good sized tube will last a reasonable time. I have to say I am a fan of this product as it has made my skin look good in a shorter period of time than others I have used.

Evolu Smoothing Body lotion arrived in a easy to open box, with a small information brochure, including voucher for future purchases, with the product in a tube. The packaging is simple, yet effective with no overuse of printing chemicals. Opening the product, the texture is soft, non greasy and with a natural scent, that is not to overpowering, a remarkable change from most of my other body lotions. I readily applied before a shower to see the effect the product would have for the first week, massaging gently into elbows, feet and heels, and my knees, the product is absorbed quickly and there is no after feel about it. The fact that it is non greasy allows for little to no transfer to clothes, and this is a benefit I like very much. Second week trial, and this involved after a shower, the product moved more freely around warmed skin, and left a subtle but natural fragrance, the product itself is very lightweight. whether you use it after a shower or before is entirely up to yourself, I didn't see any major change from application, however over the two weeks, some areas that has me concerned are beginning to show signs of improvement, my hands are looking gentler and nicer and thats just from putting it on, overall this has been a enjoyable experience! and i just might of found my new must have!

I have never heard of or used the Evolu brand before. I was very pleased to notice it was made in NZ without any nasties in it. The packaging is very cute and fitting for the brand with soft and relaxing tones. The product is a thicker kind of texture. Reminded me of a sunscreen. I used this daily on my heels, feet and hands. It did feel somewhat hydrating. My skin felt smooth afterward and not at all tacky. Over time I didnt feel like it reduced the dryness or cracks I have on my heels, although a couple of weeks isn't too long to judge. I tried to use it on my legs and arms a few times but it seemed to be a bit too thick, it wouldn't move too far or spread too easily and I just ended reverting back to my usual moisturiser for arms and legs. This product didn't wow me nor did I dislike it. To be fair it says to use it after sun exposure which I didn't really have a chance to continuously take advantage of, I do feel that it would be a very ideal formula for post sun exposure and it could have perhaps changed my perspective. I believe there are better moisturisers out there and this is not something I would rush out to buy again.

This is the second Evolu product I've tried and I absolutely loved it! The lotion is super absorbent, applies easily and is very hydrating. I have in the past used a combination of baby oil and body lotion to feel fully moisturized however since using Evolu lotion I haven't felt the need to use anything else in addition. It does nourish and moisturize problem areas like elbows, knees and heels and provides relief from winter skin. It isn't noticeably fragrant but it is not unpleasant either. I would definitely use again, especially in winter.

I was excited to try this product because I have horribly dry skin and have had always used body oils.

Its a good sized product and I didnt need too much product because it was thick, felt more like a heavy cream than a lotion. It takes a while for the lotion to spread and initially feels heavy on the skin but felt well hydrated once it absorbs. I wish it was hyrating enough to moisturise my hands but to be fair, I work in the medical field and need to wash my hands a gazillion times a shift.

It smells like some sort of chemical instead of being fresh but that did not bother me so much.

Overall, the smoothing body lotion is a good product. It was good for the areas of my body that was not overly dry.

I absolutely loved the refreshing scent of this lotion. Anything with Avocado and Lime is perfect for me. I'm honestly really bad at making sure I moisturise my skin properly all the time, but as I trialled this product I made sure I did and I saw some great results in the softest of my skin. The only thing I found that was a slight problem, was that it took quite a look of time to rub the product into my skin, before it stopped looking white on my legs and blended into my legs. But aside from that, I was surprised at how soft my skin felt. I will definitely be continuing using this product and have now discovered a new brand to try more products from.

This is probably the only Evolu product I have used so I didn't have any particular expectations of the brand.

I was however expecting a 'divine natural scent' as the advertising/packaging claims. Instead, the scent is something plasticky with a slight hint of lime. Other than moisterising, I use body lotions in large part due to the scent. This is why that is a major factor in how I rated the product.

The moisterising aspect itself is pretty decent: It does soften the skin without leaving an oily residue. It absorbs rapidly too. This particular quality also makes it a good choice as a hand cream where you need to be able to touch other surfaces after using a hand cream, without leaving marks behind.

The packaging itself for the cream is an easy to use squeeze tube. It is ideal for when you are travelling as, unlike hand pumped dispensers, you don't run the risk of the product leaking.

The exterior box design looks modern and 'clean'.

This moisturiser does what it claims. This is a super hydrating moisturiser that really hydrates any dry skin.

The formula has quite a thick consistency but I would say the consistency is typical for a body moisturiser. The tube only comes in 200ml so personally I would use this to target dry areas rather than a whole body as you would need to use quite a lot.

The formula feels nice on the skin. It rubs in quite easily and it doesn't feel sticky for too long and manages to soak into the skin quite well.

The fact that this has no chemicals in it is a real plus as you know exactly what is going onto your skin and I think it would be good for anyone with sensitive skin.

The smell of this moisturiser didn't seem to smell like the ingredients of the moisturiser and instead I found it smell kind of like cola lollies but I wouldn't say it is bad, just not the smell I was expecting.

Overall I think this is a really nice moisturiser, the packaging is nice and the bottle is easy to squeeze out. I think this is really good for hydrating any badly dehydrated skin.
