Its a cheap highlighter that does the job, although after a while the texture of the product becomes thick. When put on its really sticky and doesn't have the best glow, so it doesn't 'highlight' that much. In the right lighting it can be pulled off but there are much better choices out there

I really love this product - when my daughter isnt stealing it! It has a great wand for easy application. The consistency makes it smooth on really nice and is easily blended in. The colour is lovely. A perfect finishing product for a fresh or sexy look.
I was curious to try this luminous liquid, so I picked this up back when I was at uni because their pharmacy always had this on sale (yay). At the time I didn't even think about the fact that it was a liquid highlighter, just that it was pretty. But re-finding it in one of my draws, that struck me as interesting about it. However, it is that kind of product I use a few times then forget I have, because it doesn't compete with my staples.
The product is applied with a lipgloss-like applicator, which I dot on my cheeks and then work in.
The colour is pretty, a kind of pale pink glow. And for Designer Brands it lasts quite well. But ultimately it is a low end product, so don't expect anything amazing.
All in all it was interesting to try a liquid highlighter, but I'm not a fan of the packaging or the brand. So I tend to stick with my powder highlighter.
I purchased this around the middle of last year after seeing it was a cheap highlighter available in most pharmacies, and I'm hooked!
The bottle is pretty small, though a little bit goes a long way and this has lasted me ages so far, and has a doe foot applicator which picks up the perfect amount of product.
I use this under my brows to clean up and highlight, and on the top of my cheekbones for a beautiful glow.
This is super creamy, and blends out nicely for a natural highlight. The tone is a pinky-icy colour, which would suit most skin tones.
I love this and would recommend it for everyone! It's a great alternative to something like Benefit's High Beam and for the price you just can't beat it.
Tips: Apply and blend with fingers for the best effect. You can also build this up for more glow!
This is a cute little product that has found its way into my daily make up routine. The applicator is like a lip gloss one which I find a bit of a bother to use so I pop the product onto my finger tips and apply it that way. It is a smooth consistency and easy to place where you want it. The result is a slight shimmer to highlight your chosen features. You dont need too much, if you do manage to put too much on you end up looking quite sparkly! overall, I would buy this again.
Tips: Apply small amounts with your finger tips.
I find the illuminators in the DB range to be ok for low end / low budget products. I found you have to use quite a bit of product to get the desired effect although it doesn't really last as long as other brands. The packaging is small enough that you can take it with you for a top up if required.
I bought both shades of this for around $9 and honestly I really like them. I rarely use the more bronzey shade due to being very pale, but the white one I use very often. I thought it might be a dupe for Benefit's High Beam and in colour it IS very similar. I actually like the packaging and I use the little applicator inside (similar to a typical lipgloss applicator) to dot this on my cheeks then I either blend it in with my ELF Small Stippling brush or a beauty sponge. If you don't work fast it can leave you with dots of concentrated highlight where you dotted it, so I like to do one cheek at a time. It can look a little bit chunky if you don't blend it well and the sheen is more of a subtle highlight than I typically like, but if you can get it right it looks very pretty on fair skin. Definitely avoid applying too much and if you're going to use it on different areas of the face, make sure to do so one section at a time. The lasting power is good for the price and would last a typical work/school day. I think it's worth the price for sure and considering how hard liquid highlighters are to find at the drugstore, this is a bit of a gem.
Tips: Work in sections, apply then blend straight away, otherwise you can end up with noticeable lines/dots on your face.
So, being that I work with drugstore cosmetics and considering I am addicted when it comes to highlighters and illumators, when this product hit our shelves I was eager to give it ago. What drew me to the product was of course colour; imediately I thought of Benefits High Beam when I saw it and when the product is on the skin is gives a very similar colour effect. The only problem that I've found with the product is that if you apply even just a little bit too much, then it can go chunky and very visible as to where you've applied it. Even applying in before foundation. So with a little trial and error, I've found that if I only apply a very small amount on top of my foundation and use a damn sponge to blend it in, I can get away with it blending seamlessly, just can't be too heavy handed. However, for the price. It is a liquid highlighter worth giving a go
Tips: Apply before powder, and after foundation. Or before foundation, depending on the level of intensity that you want. And blend with a damn sponge. Also, don't use too much!! A couple of spots on the tops of the cheeks, blended in is plenty
This Illuminator comes in a handy little lip-gloss like tube, the applicator on top is also very similar to that of a lip gloss wand.
I quite liked the packaging it was a nice compact size to throw in your handbag or makeup bag. I have been experimenting with a few different types of illuminators and wanted to add this on to my list and at such a great price I thought it was worth a try.
I went about my usual morning makeup routine (moisturiser/prime/mineral foundation) then a wee bit of contouring only slightly as I’m very fair and wanted to the put the highlighter just above the contouring on my cheekbones down the ridge of my nose and my cupids bow.
It had a thinner consistency than I expected but not so thin that it would be hard to work with. It was a really lovely light pinkie based colour when swatched on my hand I was a little worried that it was going to be too pink and almost glittery for my face. I applied a swipe to each of my cheek bones , my nose and the cupids bow. This was a mistake and I shouldn’t have got carried away with myself and just worked on one area at a time it was too hard to blend and ended up looking a bit like I might have been on my way to a disco !.
However applying this one piece at a time with one swipe and then some quick blending (I did use my fingers for this I couldn’t find a brush that did this as well) I had managed to blend this in without a tide mark.
This is one of those products that you don’t want to use a heavy hand with a light touch is all that’s needed otherwise it does look a bit overdone and glittery/shiny but with just a little product it did give me a really nice healthy glow with a hint of pink which I always favour for my cooler skin tone.
It lasted pretty well throughout my workday I think you would probably need to touch this up if you were heading out but for my work day was perfect.
I would buy this again and I think it’s a lower end dupe for the Benefit High Beam (high beam is definitely less of the glittery) but overall really not a bad product for the price
Tips: This definitely requires application with a light touch
Pretty and cheap Good if youre on a budget.. and still want a glow. It's not the best but it does the job atleast.
