This is quite qide and easy to smudge if you want that look. Quite clumsy with it's thickness although that might be a user application problem. Only for those that definitely want their eyeliner to stand out from the rest of their face.

Tips: Dramatic and bold eyeliner, apply carefully.
I've owned... 3 or 4 of these pencils by now, some came with palettes and one or 2 I bought separately. I hate this product. I really love DB but I don't like this product at all. I no longer love sharpenable pencils as it is, but these are particularly hard to sharpen and I find they break very easily. I've only ever owned the black ones and they're not very pigmented, dark and they smudge really badly throughout the day. Not to mention the fact that they fade on the waterline within 2 seconds. I even try to set this with black eyeshadow and it still doesn't last. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Oh and one time a piece broke off in my eye while I was tightlining. Never had that happen with any other brand.
I Have this product in the green shade, I got it cheap from the pharmacy most stock this brand... These eye pencil have a creamy soft texture that glides so nicely to your eye, it is easy to apply and get that great definition. I find you don't need to press firmly to get the vibrant colour. These pencil are great...cheap, are long lasting wear and come in a great range of colours. Everyone needs a designer brand Kohl eye pencil in their kits!
I bought this to replace a great Art Deco eye pencil I'd misplaced. I have to say, I can really see the difference in quality. Compared to the Art Deco khol eye pencil, this doesn't go on smoothly in one go - you need to put a bit of pressure in, and use a few strokes to get a good dark line. On the upside, it doesn't smudge unduly and has great staying power. Definitely not the best product out there, but a good product for the price.
Designer brands is being sold in my local town specifically in Pharmacies and Postie Plus. I noticed these pencils at Postie Plus. They were clearing out a lot of the Designer Brand lines in there.
I have two Designer Brand pencils. Both pencils are about the same thickness of an average pencil. These pencils are two different colours. I have Malanchite and Charcoal.
Malanchite is a dark green colour. I like to use this liner with natural shadows like browns and nudes. My Charcoal pencil can be used to make smokey eyed look.
When I apply this liner on my eyes, the colour is quite dull. It blends in well. I think they do an ok job. It doesn't have long wear though. It will eventually fade out.
My results from using this pencil for a few weeks, was temporary lined eyes. I was lucky to grab them at a bargain for $1 at Postie Plus. It was an alright pencil, but not great.
The price is great as usual, but unfortunately I was very disappointed with this eyeliner. It's not very pigmented, does not draw well on your skin without having to press much harder than you should have to (formula maybe not soft enough?), and also barely lasts, just smudges right off. Definitely not good for use in the waterline. Will not purchase again.
I have Kohl eye pencil in Black.
I have sensitive eyes, and this does not irritate my eyes at all. I must say with a great price tag, longer pencil than the regular/most pencil sizes...You cannot go wrong. To avoid smudging, I sharpen then whip it through a naked flame just a second or less, and voila, a clean and dependable eyeliner, can create smoky eye affect or subtle daytime smoky eye...love this pencil!
I am impressed with the Designer Brand range as they do have a large amount of products that are high quality for their price but this eyeliner is sadly not one of those products.
It comes in a professional looking pencil and when you run the eyeliner across your water line it is a really black pigmented eyeliner. After a few minutes of wear time it moves down to your lash line and continues down your face.
Please note that the formula of this pencil is soft and creamy, it glides easily but there is no staying powder after that. I have used this eyeliner countless amounts of times and it always ends up under my lash line at the end of the day.
On a good note this is easy to remove with makeup remover, I don't agree with the price, you can buy better quality pencils for the same or less than this pencil.
I will not be repurchasing.
I received this product via my make up pack for polytech.
Firstly it presents as a professional looking pencil - I have the black one.
It is quite soft and doesn't cause drag on the eyelid when applied. I found it easy to apply and didn't have the same issue with smudging that other people seem to have.
It created quite a fine line which was a bonus.
It was quite long lasting and then easy to remove before going to bed.
I think it is a great product for an economical price and would recommend it to others.
Tips: I like to apply foundation to my eye area before applying eyeliner, and maybe that helped it stick and reduce smudging.
Bought this in gold because it was on sale ($1!) and I thought why not. But applying it isn't creamy at all, it feels more like a colouring pencil. Wasn't very happy with the overall finish either, again it looked more like what you would get from a colouring pencil. Haven't wanted to use it since the first time I tried it so probably wasn't even worth the $1.
