This shadow is brilliant, lovely colour which stays true all day long and doesn't seem to crease iron my eyelids as other shadows have done in the past. My eyelids can become greasy during the day and this set stands up to that better than any other. I find it difficult to give up this product easily. The dual ended brush is not only a good applicator but a useful blender too. The packaging also pleasures me in its simplistic yet glamourous feel.

I have this duo in uptown downtown. I got it from a little sample pack that Clinique does a lot of (and is how I buy most of my Clinique products, this brand is expensive fullsize!). I think my duo is the same as pictured. It has a light shimmery pink and then a darker sort of purple grey.
I like the packaging of this. It's in a silver rectangular box and then you slide out the shadow. Its not too big for just a duo but if they stopped putting in those silly foam applicators, then it probably could be even smaller! The pink shadow is larger then the dark shadow which makes sense as you would end up using way more of the pink shade anyway.
The formula of these is nice. They are not dry at all and have no powdery excess. They are not super buttery but they have a nice creamy sort of quality to the shadow. I find them to have a nice pigment too. Considering how light the pink is, I wasn't expecting it to be as pigmented as it is and I love this as an all over lid colour. The purple shade (which Is matte by the way) deepens up the outer v nicely. I'm not a total fan of this shade. I guess I wish it was more purple but that's just a personal preference.
I usually add some matte colours for the crease from other palettes to mix in with this. You could totally use just the pink by itself for a one shadow look or add a tiny bit of the purple in the crease too to go really simple.
I will definitely keep using this. I don't think I would specifically go out and buy this but that is because I'm more of a bigger palette person. I would be happy as to get one in another sample pack though.
I have the 'Strawberry Fudge' pallet, which is pretty much my favourite shadow combo. I like a nice, light pink on my lids with a brown contour - it suits my colouring nicely.
The packaging is super cute - it's a nice little chrome-coloured hard case that slides open to reveal the usual application sponge.
At first glance, I thought the pallet would be exactly what I wanted - the pink is pretty and the brown, while a bit darker that I'd usually go with, is a good looking shade.
When I applied the pink I realised it wasn't actually the shade I was hoping for. It has quite a pronounced shimmer to it - gold flecks - and the pink is pretty sheer. I think I could have happily rocked this in my younger days, but these days I go more for a mat finish (NO sparkle)
That being said, it lasts for ages, and once I got past my initial "OMG SPARKLE" shock it actually wasn't too-too bad. The brown contour is good, not really much shimmer there and it does what you'd expect it to do.
Would I buy this when I run out? No. Is it a bad pallet? No. It just isn't my kettle of fish. I most likely will finish this one though, so it isn't all bad :)
I got this as a bonus gift from Clinique on a purchase.
Colours I got are wave after wave and smoke & mirrors. Wave after wave is a metallic light green with a grey hint to it, Smoke & mirrors is a dark green grey with slight shimmer. The stay power of both is good, I can put it on in the morning and it is still going strong in the evening, a good 10 hours later without primer on me. Goodness knows what happens when I get around to using primer. I have picked up other shadow duos colours since and they have similar stay power.
When I use makeup remover it just comes off. I normally apply this dry with a brush. I find these are easy to blend. Sometimes I use this as eye liner rather than pencil and it hasn't iritated my eyes at this time.
This is a product that I would rebuy or take a gamble on colours for GWP because sometimes they are the best colours. Pricewise it is a bit more expensive than others on the market but since it stays all day I think it is worth the money.
Tips: On GWP you sometimes get a blusher with it.
I received this in a gift pack.
The packaging is really, really nice, it's basically a mirror so you can see what you're doing if you've put this in your make-up bag to use on the go.
The pigmentation of the light pink is a little thin but it's got a hint of a shimmer in it so it does look nice and sheer.
The darker purple isn't as dark as you would think. Again, the pigmentation isn't that great but it's definitely buildable.
I use this when I'm travelling since it's just so conveniently small.
The price however, is absolutely, definitely not worth it!
I LOVE this eye shadow!! I use it every single day. Such gorgeous colours. I also use it if I'm going to use other colours on top. I will need to re repurchase soon =)
I got this free in a sample when I bought some other Clinique stuff and I love it! I wear this as my everyday eyeshadow to give my eyes some subtle definition. Easy to apply and stays on all day :) Just not sure I would fork out for the full priced product when I run out
When I was younger I was given this by my mother in law. I had only just realised how to apply makeup properly, I loved to use the lighter tone underneath my eyebrows after putting on brow liner. It made my eyes pop with definition. The make up lasted quite a while, I was so upset when it ran out as I couldn't afford this again :(
Tips: Draw on eyebrows with liner and apply light tone directly under brows and the darker tone above lashes.
This was a really luxury buy for me. I had heard a lot of good things about Clinique and I was in a mood to spoil myself the day I bought this.
To this day this is one of my favourite eyeshadows - it is easy to apply and it doesn't look really bright. I like that it has a slight shimmer but it doesn't look too shimmery.
This feels really soft on my eyes and I always feel really good when I wear this. Even though it is something I would not buy a lot because of the price, I am glad to have just one of these because it is really beautiful and is my favourite eyeshadow.
This is such a lovely product. It looks chic and neat. It's a classic peice of art. That's before you even open it! This sits beautifully on the eyelids and doesn't crease of look crusty. The duo is such a great idea if you're a little unsure about how to pair your eyeshadows. It takes the guesswork out. The colours all go so well together and they really make your eyes pop. They have obviously looked carefully about the 2 colours that go together. The duo is particularly pricey for 2 eyeshadows but I could without a doubt recommend this to anyone with delicate skin or sensitive skin or eyes. You can't go wrong really. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 out of 5 for using it again is that I would prefer to have a palette of colours for a relatively cheaper price. Otherwise they are beautiful shades and there should be a duo that would suit anyone!
