CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser

I picked this up in the Vault, thanks BR! I have dry skin and am prone to pimples especially at that time of the month. I always seem to get one big sucker that takes ages to heal. So this sounded like it suited my skin perfectly and I was keen to start using it.

It comes in a bottle with a pump which I love, super easy to get out the right amount with no wastage. It is semi thick and comes out clear, I just simply wet my face then massage it all around. It creates just the right amount of foam.

I get no stinging or irritation at all and the best part is it doesn't dry my skin out like some other blemish control cleansers do. When I started using this I didn't think it was doing much and I seemed to get some new breakouts, however after a month my skin looks fab! I have hardly had any new spots and I never got my giant pimple around that time of the month.....woohoo.

I've just run out and have ordered 2 more bottles as I really love what it does for my skin. I have been using this with the matching blemish gel and I feel it works best when used together. Highly recommend if you suffer from blemishes!

It has taken me years to find a cleanser that I don't just like but LOVE and this is the one for me. Its gentle, but effective. It foams lightly but doesn't strip the skin. It also has no scent which I love. I struggled with acne for years and have found certain cleansers make it worse but this has caused me no issues in the past year of using it.

This is another perfect product from CeraVe - it's gentle and effective.

I have a very oily t-zone and dry cheeks - this has balanced my skin beautifully, without drying out the dry patches, nor stripping my skin of all oil.

I found this really effective when I got my monthly breakout, what is normally a week of pimples, barely even broke out.

It's good value for money and will definitely be recommending to all!

I absolutely loved this cleanser, it’s fragrance-free, has a thick gel consistency and foams up really well so it’s good for removing excess oil, dirt sunscreen, light makeup etc. You don’t need much to get the job done, I do about half a pump for my whole face and neck - leave it on for 30 seconds to soak up the BHA and then rinse away. I can imagine this bottle lasting quite a long time as you don’t need to use much product. You can pick this up from Chemist Warehouse for $25, but they also have specials on Cerave products quite often so you might be able to get it a bit cheaper. Most importantly I found this really did deliver on its promises of unclogging pores, removing blemishes and excess oil - I found while using this my pimples came to a head much faster, it really drew out the impurities and gunk in my skin, as well sped up the time it took my for my spots to heal. As an added bonus this made my face look and feel super smooth so I felt like it’s also a really easy way to incorporate an exfoliant into my routine. This would be perfect for anyone with oily/acne prone or combo skin struggling with mild to moderate breakouts. I’ll definitely be purchasing this again.

How great is this product!. I have tried a lot in over the last 10 years or so as can say this definitely would be the best of the bunch. Not only does it help that’s it’s Dermatologically tested which means that it is the real deal and you know it’s going to help reduce skin blemishes like it says it is but it is also a inexpensive product that can be found in your local supermarket or chemist which really saves the hassle of having to try and use a standard Cleanser. As it says the Purifying mask helps improve the appearance of pores, reduces blackheads, and super smooth on skin with its gel like texture. I started to notice results in the 2 week period which helped clear my skin up also leaving it feeling silky smooth.. cannot fault and definitely looking forward to what the next couple weeks bring.

I did not know a lot about this brand when I tried this product, I’ve never used any products by CeraVe. The packaging is a little clinical, it’s not inviting sitting there in your bathroom but let me tell you the results were fantastic!

The cleanser is a little bit sticky, but lathers up well. You don’t need a lot to use so the full size bottle should last some time. There’s no smell that I could discern, and I like that about facial cleansing products.

There was something I’m finding difficult to describe other than to say my face just feels overall clearer, parts of my face that are not prone to break outs feel clearer as well (I have combination skin, some dry patches some prone to break outs). It’s an overall look and feel – I feel more confident with a bare face even! I would definitely recommend this product.

Firstly I love the pump bottle as the amount is more controlled and you really only need one to one and a half pumps for your face, meaning the bottle will last really well. It lathers up easily and leaves my face feels fresh and clean afterwards while seeing the blemishes fade after only a couple of applications. I found for the first time in forever I felt good about how my skins looks without make up or a tinted moisturiser on to even out the skin tone so will be continuing with using this.

I was excited to try CeraVe - having never used this brand before. I was particularly excited to try this Blemish Control Cleanser as I still have acne into my thirties and keen to be rid of it!

The decently sized 236ml white pump bottle comes in white cardboard packaging, which is rather minimalist except for all the text repeated in multiple langues. The bottle is relatively square, so easy to store. The pump works well and can be locked closed for convenience when travelling.

The cleanser is clear with a think almost sticky consistency, until applied to a damp face. One pump is plenty. The product foams up as expected and is easily applied to the face before being rinsed off. I didn't notice any distinguishable fragrance.

I did find it gave me some uncomfortable tingling around the edges of my nose and mouth for a few seconds, but no noticeable redness. I was also a little concerned by the many warnings about not getting this product in your eyes. I would normally wash my face in the shower and usually use a gentle natural cleanser so would normally wash my eye lids too.

After 2 weeks of use I noticed a very slight improvement to my blemishes, but then again most of their claims are based on 4+ weeks of use so maybe my skin will improve even more over time. Will have to wait and see!

One last thing that was frustrating was the lack or information regarding what to use in conjunction with this product other than the blemish control gel. Should I be using toner? Moisturiser? Where in the routine do these fit? Blemish Control Gel should be used in the evening only so should I use toner and moisturiser in the morning and just the gel at night? Normally products mention the rest of the routine to get the best results but this range lacks this information.

This is a great cleanser for everday use for someone with acne or even just the odd pimple. It pumps out of the bottle as a rather thick clear consistency but it is really easy to lather up so a little goes a long way. It has no fragrance - perfect for sensitive skin. It felt great on my skin and left my skin feeling nice and clean without stripping the oils or drying my skin out. Since using this cleanser my skin's texture is noticeably better and breakouts have disappeared or have drastically reduced. I will definitely be repurchasing in the future.
