Caithy

I got this oil from the BR Beauty Vault earlier this year. It is made in New Zealand from organic rosehip oil. It is the only product of this brand I’ve tried. After trying it I looked on their website, and they have a good range of products that look just lovely, and are marketed at an affordable price.

It comes in a 30ml dropper bottle and is simple to use.

It is a yellow oil that goes clear once it has absorbed into the skin, but is pretty yellow until it absorbs. It is kind of greasy and smells like oil.

The recommendation is to use it after cleansing twice per day, and I’ve applying it then following it with moisturiser as recommended. I am a big fan of oils, but this one has taken me a bit to get used to. It lacks the finesse and soft scent of other oils. This is only a slight drawback though, it is still a good oil. I say that because I’ve been using it last thing at night and when I wake up the next day my skin still has a soft, slighty oily feel to it, which I really like, as it feels like the oil has been working on it all night.

It claims to improve the appearance of scars. stretch marks, uneven skin tone, and advises using it for a minimum of 10 weeks, This bottle won’t last 10 weeks and I probably won’t buy another one, simply because there are other oils I prefer to this. I can’t speak for it improving scars or stretch marks, as I’ve only used it on my face. I can’t say it has evened my skin tone yet either, but it certainly has value in softening and nurturing dry skin.

At around $25.00 it is good value for a 30ml bottle of oil, and you can use it quite sparingly. It would be especially good for people who don’t like a scent with their rosehip oil, and could be used as just a night time oil, as it works beautifully overnight.

I’m a bit ambivalent about this oil as it has both good and bad traits for me (I miss having a lovely smell on my skin) but would recommend it as a great night oil for people with dry skin like mine, or someone on a budget looking for a great value oil.

I will most likely buy and try some of the other Caithy brand products in the future, as the range looks lovely.

Tips: Apply to clean dry skin just before bed.

Caithy Rosehip Oil

I am generally a fan of Rosehip Oil and have used it for a long time as a moisturiser. Caithy Rosehip Oil is on a parr with all the other brands that I have tried (e.g. Triology, Essano etc); this is a good thing.

As expected the oil is yellow and although others say it has no smell for me it has a faint earthy smell which I love.

I like that the bottle comes with two dispensing options. I've been using it how it came out of the box - need to give it a firm shake to get one drop out - but I think I'll change to using the dropper supplied as I like to use quite a bit at a time.

On the whole I think it does what it says and I think that the most benefits would be seen with long term use.

rosehip oil

When i noticed this in the last beauty vault i was quite excited to give it a go as I have never used a Rosehip oil before but i have heard great things about it, so I needed to give it a try for myself.

It comes in a orange/ brown colour oil and you have the option of the little top that comes on the bottle that releases one drop at a time or you can use a squeezy top medicine droplet that also comes with it. Persionaly I have never used the medicine droplet, Iv only used the top that it comes with and it seams to work really well.

I have been applying this to my c-section scar and have noticed a suttle change but not much, but it does feel like the scar itself it s lot softer and not to hard.

I have also been applying this to my face every night before bed and I dont think my skin has been breaking out as much as it had been so thats amazing! And once again my skin feels like its alot softer too.

over all im really happy I choose to purchse this in the vault it has been amazing

Caithy Rosehip Oil

I had been wanting to pick up some new rosehip oil so I was very excited to find this in the vault and interested to compare it to trilogy which I have been using.

Caithy Rosehip Oil comes in a decent sized bottle with a plastic thing in the top to make it that only drops fall out. If you take that out you can also use the dropper provided by Caithy.

The oil itself is yellow/orange and fairly odourless. It is typical oil consistancy and absorbed into the skin easily.

I have been applying the oil to stretch marks and just like bio oil and trilogy I haven't noticed a significant reduction in these marks. I am also using it a bit like a serum. It feels nice and moisturising on the skin and reduces dryness at the time.

I will keep using rosehip oil because its a good oil for my skin, but I'm not sure about all the other claims.

One thing I did notice is there isn't much difference between this brand and more expensive ones I've tried.

I thought that too - it's very good value for a good oil.

Rosehip Oil

I was converted to Rosehip oil through BR some time ago and have been an avid Trilogy user however when I saw this in the vault I had to nab it.

It comes in a little glass bottle with a glass dropper for application. Similar to most other Rosehip Oil packaging designs.

This rosehip oil is odourless.

I applied after cleansing my skin, took 3 drops and massaged into my face and neck. This is a lovely easily absorbed oil and left my skin feeling fresh and moisturised and not greasy.

I dont feel that this is any different to any other Rosehip Oil I have tried there was no different standout point but still a great product.

I would use this again

Caithy Rosehip

Rosehip oil is something that I always have handy, i've tried many different brands and honestly I find it extremely difficult to tell the difference from one to the next..

I've been using this one for a couple months on my face as night time skin care, and on a nasty burn I had on my hand. The burn on my hand was very red when I intially began applying this rosehip oil to it, now my natural skin tone pigment has almost returned and I beleive that this oil has really helped.

This oil is odourless, feels light on the skin and is quite fast absorbing. It has a glass dropper for easy application, also there is no wastage this way.

I beleive this oil is a very good skin care product, although as is any ol rosehip.. If I saw this brand on special I may purchase as I like the fact that it's organic, but like I said, rosehip in general, it's all good!

Rosehip Convert right here!

I've been using this six weeks now, so it's probably as good a time as any to give this product a review. I have never used Rosehip or any other oil in this capacity on my face before.

The bottle is like a medicine bottle and is a lot larger than I was expecting from the Beauty Vault. It comes with a solid cap and a dropper insert like you find with aromatherapy oils, and there is also a glass eye-dropper in the box if you're that way inclined (pick me!).

After six weeks of using this, I have noticed that some of the finer lines have vanished a wee bit and my skin is looking firmer and pores less noticeable. For me the big thing is a frown line between my eyebrows has reduced, its still there, but it's better than what it was. I even got a bit cheeky and used this under my eyes and even the bags have improved in colour and wrinkles. I'm now totally converted to using rosehip oil in place of chemical moisturisers!
