Few things are more satisfying than finding affordable makeup that performs as well, if not better, than makeup that costs more. It's like finding money on the pavement with no one in sight to claim it, or getting an unexpected tax refund, or discovering a long-forgotten chocolate bar right when you really feel like chocolate. So what makeup wows the Beauty Review community not just because it's great but also because it's affordable? Check these out these Top Rated beauty steals...

Primer

e.l.f Mineral Infused Primer - rated 4.2/5

You say: Surprisingly a very high quality primer for the low cost. It has a nice velvet feel and goes on so smoothly under foundation!! BR Member - Baileyeden

 Foundation

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Dewy + Smooth - Rated 4.4/5

You say: A great affordable supermarket star of a product. Nice texture, cover and finish. Good color match especially for my skin. Fantastic price and quality. BR Member - mandiross1981

BB Cream

Garnier BB Cream All-in-one Perfector Oil-free SPF25 - rated 4.4/5

Powder

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder - rated 4.5/5

Highlighter

Wet N Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder - rated 4.3/5

You say: This is literally the only highlighter I buy anymore. It's so cheap yet so effective, has a great long lasting shine without being too much. And you could always layer it on more and more if you want to be extra sparkly! BR Member - piperckh

Eyeshadow

Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trios - rated 4.6/5

You say: The packaging is very sleek and cute, very easy to travel with. The pigmentation and staying power is wonderful. And very cheap too. A great buy. BR Member - jessica82

Eyeliner

LA Girl Glide Gel Liner - rated 4.7/5

You say: I bought one of these liners to try because the price was right. I dont have much to compare it with but I found this pencil very easy to apply. It really did glide on without too much pressure. The colour is really pigmented and it stayed in place all day. It didnt run or really wear off. I was very happy with the result. BR Member - Kimrose

I like a good moisturiser and a nice lipstick and mascara and love trying different brands.

10th July, 2023

I swear by the LA Girl HD concealer it's one of the best ones out there and it's so affordable, been using it for a few years now and love how it blends and leaves my under eye area virtually crease free.

I have tried high end and expensive products and I have to say I have found some of them not at all.worth the big money we pay. There is a place in every make up bag for well priced items.

I've heard great things about ELF products from Reels, Influencer's promo's! You don't always need to spend alot to get a great quality product. I've not tried any of these products but interested in the Wet n Wild Eyeshadow palette. I struggle to find pigmented pallets without having to buy more expensive brands & I refuse to at the moment. I tend to buy from Chemist Warehouse to save money. Will check out more reviews on the Collosal mascara as needing to find a new one

Love Wet n Wild blush and the highlighter, and the Maybelline mascara, the brush compares with a more expensive product, and seems to last very well to my outdoor lifestyle. Have tried Elf cosmetics from time to time , The Maybelline Fit range is great, l got mine half price at the Chemist warehouse sale , great buy!

5th July, 2023

Definitely agree with the Maybelline mascara (and same goes for their HyperEasy Eyeliner, which is THE BOMB - so easy and gorgeous). I really must try the Garnier BB cream; everyone seems to love that range! I'm just nervous of the chemical sunblock ingredients on my sensitive skin. I'd be interested to know if any other mineral-sunblock-devotees have used Garnier instead and how they found it.

4th July, 2023

For me it's the L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil-in-Creme Treatment. Just as good as any salon product I've ever used...and about a third of the price!

3rd July, 2023

Yes I own a bunch of these and totally back them! I've twice in the last 2 years forgotten to pack make up for big family events and weddings and found myself at chemist warehouse not wanting to spend a fortune on make up for one event. Maybelline fit me, mascara and lipstick were all winners as well as Rimmel bronzer and wet'n'wild pallettes. Definitely hold up as well as there more expensive counterparts.

Whenever I've tried less fancy brands I've generally been pretty happy, I think a high price does not guarantee a well working product.

3rd July, 2023

I often use the Garnier BB cream which is great.

Ooh, yes, I agree. That goes for the whole Elvive Extraordinary Oil range actually. It's great, even on my thick, dry, curly hair.
